GREENLAND'S ICE: A Pogues-esque sea-shanty reel about a stubborn sea captain and his crew. Tin whistle and a lengthy Irish-folk instrumental drive the song.

In the month of June on the eighteenth day
We braced our sheets and we sailed away
And our colours flew up against the sky
But all of Greenland’s ice was in the captain’s eye

It was eighteen months without a sight of land
No mountains green not a stretch of sand
The belly timber gone and the rum run dry

We suffered keen and bitter blasts
Our dearest hopes they were slipping fast
And to a man we thought that we would die
